#mathitations

This was my first attempt at merging mindfulness and mathematics. I created mindful math-centric breathing routines using mathematical vocabulary and images. My thinking is to use these exercises in the classrooms for settling in, transitions or brain breaks to develop a sense of focus and awareness. I was inspired by readings in Social Emotional Learning, SERP focus five, math talks and visual math tasks.
